Development Team Lead

🚀 R&D Team Lead | Tel Aviv

We’re looking for an experienced R&D Team Lead to join the Data Group of a fast-growing SaaS & AI security startup and lead the development of a new, strategic product area within the company.

This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a Full Stack team with a strong backend and data focus, and taking part in building large-scale, production-grade systems used by global customers.

What you’ll do

• Lead and mentor a Full Stack engineering team (backend oriented).
• Remain hands-on while driving end-to-end feature ownership
• Design and build scalable, data-oriented backend systems
• Own architecture decisions in a cloud-native, distributed environment
• Work closely with Product, QA, and DevOps in short, focused sprints
• Take part in customer-facing discussions when required

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years of professional Full Stack development experience
• At least 3 years of proven team leadership experience.
• Strong hands-on background with Python, TypeScript, React
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Proven experience working with large-scale, data-intensive environments
• Experience working directly with customers, including technical discussions
• Strong ability to lead features end-to-end in production systems
• A flexible, pragmatic mindset - comfortable in fast-moving environments

Nice to have

• Background in data platforms or data-heavy systems
• Experience in security-related products
• Work on agents or endpoint components
