proteanTecs is looking for a Cloud Security & Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both leading security initiatives and contributing to cloud infrastructure operations in a collaborative environment.

You will be the primary owner of our cloud security function—responsible for driving improvements, managing security tools, and ensuring the protection of our cloud environments.

In addition, you will support our cloud and Microsoft 365 infrastructure, working together with the IT team on shared operational tasks and projects.

This is a hands-on position where you will influence our security strategy, support daily operations, and work closely with IT, R&D, DevOps, and other internal teams.

Position location: in our Haifa or TLV offices, at least one working day at the secondary site (Hybrid model)

Responsibilities:

Cloud Security

• Ensure secure cloud architectures on AWS, GCP, and Azure, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Manage security tools such as EDR, SIEM, and other hyperscale security platforms to protect infrastructure, data, and applications.
• Continuously monitor cloud environments, detect threats, and lead effective incident response and remediation efforts.
• Help enforce identity and access policies (Zero Trust architecture) across cloud environments.
• Contribute to security awareness and best practices within the company.

Cloud Infrastructure

• Support and maintain cloud infrastructure services
• Manage cloud storage systems (NetApp) and directory services.
• Maintain Exchange Online, Entra ID, and MDM services.
• Support IT services such as Citrix Cloud, OpenVPN, SFTP, and backup solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud security and operating environments across multiple cloud providers.
• Strong experience with SIEM, EDR, data protection solutions, and risk management.
• Strong experience with Linux servers.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID identity management.
• Experience with cloud networking (VPNs, routing, DNS, firewalls).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications in cloud security, SIEM/EDR operations, or cybersecurity frameworks.
