Data Security Engineer (Contract) – Remote (EU/Israel/India)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Work Mode: Fully Remote
Location: Israel, Central Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania), or India
Language Requirement: English (fluent)
About the Role
We are seeking highly skilled Data Security Engineers with strong hands-on development experience to support internal enterprise security initiatives. These contractors will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced data security capabilities within large-scale enterprise products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance product-level data security features including:
- Dynamic data masking
- Synthetic data masking
- Column-level encryption
- Data tokenization
- Format-preserving encryption
- Implement encryption/decryption functions using OpenSSL.
- Integrate and communicate with AWS KMS, Azure Key Vault, and Google Cloud KMS for key and secret management.
- Write high-quality, efficient code primarily in C/C++ (preferred), with additional work in Python or Java as needed.
- Work within an Agile/SCRUM environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure security, scalability, and performance in enterprise-grade architecture.
Required Qualifications
- 6–8 years of software development experience (8 years preferred).
- Strong expertise in C/C++ with proven experience building enterprise-grade products.
- Hands-on experience developing data security features such as encryption, masking, tokenization, or similar capabilities.
- Familiarity with cloud security stacks across AWS, Azure, and GCP, particularly related to:
- Key Management Services
- Secret Management
- Solid understanding of cryptographic standards and libraries (e.g., OpenSSL).
- Excellent communication skills in English—both written and verbal.
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM teams.
