Senior Embedded Engineer (Algorithms Infrastructure)

One of our clients, a fast-growing robotics startup, is looking to hire a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their core engineering team. This innovative company is transforming the way high-rise buildings are maintained by developing autonomous, AI-powered robotic platforms for façade inspection and maintenance. By combining robotics, computer vision, and cloud-based analytics, they are improving safety standards, reducing operational costs, and revolutionizing an industry traditionally reliant on manual labor.

In this role, you will act as a key technical partner to the Algorithms team, taking full ownership of the infrastructure that supports complex robotic algorithms running on edge computing platforms. Your focus will be on translating high-level perception and navigation models into robust, optimized, and scalable production code, deployed on NVIDIA Jetson hardware.

You will design and implement performance-critical software infrastructure, optimize algorithmic pipelines using C++, Python, and CUDA, and manage system-level integration with real-world hardware components. You will also build containerized environments using Docker to ensure consistency across development and production environments. This is a hands-on role requiring close collaboration with algorithm developers and hardware engineers, ensuring that the software runs reliably in real-time, hardware-in-the-loop scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software architecture to support robotic perception and navigation algorithms.
• Optimize high-throughput, low-latency code on edge devices using NVIDIA Jetson and CUDA.
• Manage integration with hardware elements including drivers, controllers, and sensors.
• Build and maintain Docker-based deployment environments for embedded systems.
• Translate complex research-level code into stable, production-ready software.
• Define and uphold code quality and performance standards through testing and debugging.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and improve system performance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of embedded or systems-level software development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms and CUDA.
• Strong background in software architecture for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with low-level hardware interfaces and device drivers.
• Proficiency with Docker and containerized deployments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with ROS/ROS2 and real-time operating systems.
• Knowledge of sensor data integration (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs).
