BI Frontend Tech Lead

Atera is looking for a BI Frontend Tech Lead to join our data group!

Atera’s data group is in the middle of an exciting technological transformation. This transformation includes moving from an “old school” BI tool to a modern platform, remodeling our semantic layer, introducing conversational AI analytics and much more.

As our BI Frontend Tech Lead, you will be right in the middle of this transformation, as the owner of our new technologies and tools. You will define methodologies and best practices and enforce them. You will take part in the design, build and go-to-market of our new data models and applications. As the professional guide for the analyst teams, you will work closely with analysts across all domains, as well as the BI backend team responsible for the DWH. You will work with our business stakeholders, promoting adoption and usage of our data products.

Responsibilities:

• Own our new BI tool (Sigma) as the professional expert, working with both the analysts and Sigma team to maximize productivity
• Assimilate the new BI tool with our business stakeholders to provide maximum value
• Own our Semantic model, via BI data models and later by introducing a semantic layer external tool (e.g. DBT semantic layer, Honeydew,..)
• Define and enforce methodologies and best practices both for building data models and dashboards
• Own our conversational AI analytics solution, ensuring it provides accurate and usable answers
• Introduce additional AI based tools to enhance analysts efficiency, accuracy and productivity.
  
  

• Requirements:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis and/or BI development
• Minimum 2 years as a team lead or other leadership role
• Extensive experience with various BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
• Vast experience in modeling data, including business metrics and logic
• Vast experience working with complex data sets and multiple sources of data, as well as a strong understanding of data pipelines from the raw level to the business layers.
• Good communication and mentoring skills
• Very methodological and product-oriented approach
• Experience working with DBT - advantage
• Experience with a semantic layer tool (DBT semantic layer, Honeydew, etc.) - advantage
• Experience in working in a SaaS and B2B company – an advantage
