One of our clients, a global industrial manufacturer specializing in advanced infrastructure solutions for the water sector, is looking to hire an Operational Excellence Project Manager (OPEX Manager).
This rapidly growing company has R&D and production facilities in Israel and is part of an international publicly traded group. It develops and manufactures high-performance mechanical and electro-mechanical products that are widely used in water infrastructure systems around the world.
Job Summary:
The Operational Excellence Project Manager will lead cross-organizational operational projects aimed at improving performance, optimizing resources, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires strong experience in manufacturing environments, process optimization, and project leadership using lean methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional operational projects focused on improving operational performance, efficiency, and quality.
- Manage matrixed teams from engineering, production, quality, logistics, and maintenance departments.
- Plan, execute, monitor, and close projects in alignment with company goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Implement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement.
- Analyze existing processes, identify bottlenecks, and lead engineering and operational improvements.
- Develop and implement annual and multi-year strategic work plans aligned with company strategy.
- Lead major initiatives such as future production system optimization and implementation of new engineering technologies.
- Define and monitor KPIs, perform data-driven analysis, and present performance results using analytical tools.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience managing operational or engineering projects.
- Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing company is mandatory.
- Deep familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong ability to lead and manage matrixed teams across departments.
- Strategic thinking with a business orientation and ability to independently drive initiatives.
- Experience in data analysis and trend identification.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- High level of English proficiency.
