Senior Database Administrator

We are looking for a Senior DBA to join our family in a full-time hybrid position.

The Senior DBA will play a key role in supporting and leading complex database environments for multiple customers, driving innovation and continuous improvement both internally and externally.

The Senior DBA will work with various customers and be responsible for managing relational databases (mainly SQL Server and PostgreSQL), including performance tuning and optimization, high availability and disaster recovery, database design, and more. 

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor and proactively engage with customers to understand needs, identify opportunities, and drive database-related initiatives
• Lead and execute complex database projects, including migrations, performance tuning, HA/DR planning, and security architecture
• Manage production environments with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance
• Design, implement, and maintain robust database solutions (mainly SQL Server and PostgreSQL)
• Handle multiple ongoing tasks and priorities efficiently (context switching) across various customer and internal environments
• Work with multiple internal and customer systems in parallel, ensuring smooth data flows and integrations
• Drive process improvements and share best practices across the team
• Mentor and contribute to internal and external knowledge sharing
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to enhance company-wide data-related processes and solutions

Required Skills and Experience

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience as a DBA in production environments
• Deep expertise with the Microsoft Data Platform (SQL Server, Azure SQL) and PostgreSQL
• Significant hands-on experience with AlwaysOn, Replication, and Clusters in production-scale environments
• Proven experience with HA/DR architectures, performance tuning, monitoring, and automation
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic, multi-project environment (context switch mindset)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset (self-managed is a must)
• Readiness to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation as needed
• Ability to lead processes both internally and with customers, from planning to execution
• Excellent communication and presentation skills — both in Hebrew and English
• Self-learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
• Organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused professional
