DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We're hiring a DevOps Engineer who thrives on ownership and precision.

You'll be responsible for our AWS infrastructure operating under PCI-DSS compliance requirements. The role involves strengthening observability and reliability while automating compliance reporting workflows.

This position requires depth over quick fixes. We need someone who evaluates trade-offs, questions assumptions, and architects solutions that satisfy both audit requirements and real-world production demands.

You'll collaborate across engineering, security, and compliance teams to maintain a platform that's secure, observable, and dependably stable.

What you’ll do:

Cloud & infrastructure (AWS, PCI context)

• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure for both cardholder data environments (CDE) and non-CDE workloads, with strong network isolation and least-privilege access.
• Implement and evolve Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for environments in Terraform.
• Work with architect/compliance to ensure AWS architecture and configs align with PCI-DSS requirements (network segmentation, logging, key management, hardening, etc.).

CI/CD

• Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for services.
• Add guardrails in pipelines.
• Work closely with backend team to design deployable, observable services.

Monitoring, logging, automated reporting

• Own observability: metrics, logs, traces, and alerts across our services and environments.
• Forward AWS-native data (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty, etc.) to SIEM.
• Build automated reporting and evidence collection for compliance and security.

Security, reliability

• Maintain POLP environment using IAM, Security Groups, KMS, etc.
• Participate in threat modeling and security reviews of new features (especially anything touching payment flows or CHD storage).
• Review infrastructure designs and changes for risk, simplicity, and long-term

Must have

• At least 3 years of experience in building/ maintaining AWS production system.
• Experience with setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub + AWS code).
• At least 3 years of experience in building/ maintaining Azure production system – advantage
