Performance Engineer

About the role

Join our Performance Engineering team to design, execute, and evolve our performance and load testing program. You’ll uncover bottlenecks across application and infrastructure layers, drive optimizations, and help ensure a fast, reliable experience for our users at scale.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop performance test plans, scenarios, and scripts that reflect real‑world usage patterns and business priorities.
• Execute load, stress, endurance/soak, and spike tests using industry tools.
• Monitor and measure system performance during tests; capture metrics such as latency percentiles, throughput, error rates, and resource utilization.
• Identify bottlenecks and conduct root‑cause analysis; partner with developers/architects to implement code, configuration, and infrastructure optimizations.
• Analyze results and provide clear, actionable reports and recommendations to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with engineering and architecture to integrate performance requirements into the SDLC and CI/CD workflows.
• Continuously refine test frameworks, tooling, and processes to increase coverage, repeatability, and efficiency.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing, engineering.
• Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, metrics, and analysis techniques; ability to interpret results and identify trends.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, Groovy, Java) to build test scenarios, data generators, and analysis utilities.
• Experience with monitoring and APM solutions to observe system behavior under load.
• Familiarity with web technologies, APIs, and databases to evaluate application and service performance.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for metrics and dashboards — advantage.
• Background in DevOps practices and tools — advantage.
• Experience using JMeter for performance testing — advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Willingness to work on-site 3 days per week.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
