Senior System Engineer

Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a Senior System Administrator for a leading organization

Role Description

Managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization and network environments. The role includes hands-on work with VMware, Microsoft systems and occasional Linux support, alongside developing automation scripts in PowerShell. Opportunity to expand into DevOps areas such as Kubernetes and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining VMware environments

• Maintaining, upgrading and troubleshooting Microsoft Server infrastructures

• Providing support for Linux environments when required

• Writing PowerShell automation scripts

• Working in a dynamic team environment with cross-department collaboration

• Potential involvement in DevOps processes (Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD)

Requirements

• Proven experience with VMware – mandatory

• Experience with Microsoft Server and Windows environments

• Basic knowledge or hands-on experience with Linux – strong advantage

• PowerShell scripting skills – mandatory

• Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies – strong advantage

• Ability to work independently and interface effectively with IT teams
