Full Stack Team Lead

As a hands-on Team Lead you will join our R&D department and lead the development of Appcharge’s Payments Platform.

In this role, you'll combine technical expertise and leadership to build scalable payment infrastructure, guide a high-performing engineering team, and help shape the future of payments for some of the world’s top mobile games.

Responsibiliti

• Lead and grow a team of talented engineers working on the Payments Platform - covering payment flows, transaction security, fraud detection, chargebacks, refunds, and analytics.
• Own the architecture and development of our cloud-native, low-latency, high-availability services.
• Be a technical role model: contribute code, perform code reviews, and guide architecture decisions.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define roadmaps and deliver impact.
• Encourage a culture of ownership, innovation, learning, and collaboration.
• Improve engineering workflows and help scale operational processes as the team grows.
• Take part in hiring and onboarding new team members as we scale the team.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams or projects.
• 7+ years of experience building scalable backend systems
• Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end web applications (fintech or payments - big advantage).
• Strong background in Node.js, working with cloud-based environments (preferably AWS).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker.
• Familiarity with NoSQL solutions like MongoDB and Redis.
• Experience with React.js is an advantage.
• Comfortable leading by example, providing mentorship, and growing others around you.
• A pragmatic decision-maker with strong technical judgment and product thinking.
