Ben-Gurion University is seeking a skilled and motivated Teaching & Research Laboratory Engineer to support the department’s academic and research activities in the Life Sciences.

What you’ll do:

• Prepare and operate teaching and research laboratories in various Life Sciences fields
• Support biochemical and molecular biology research activities
• Guide undergraduate and graduate students; assist with data collection, documentation, and analysis
• Grow and maintain research organisms
• Manage, record, and organize plasmids (DNA constructs) and laboratory materials
• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
• Handle purchasing processes for teaching and research labs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain safe lab practices

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Master’s preferred)
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience in molecular biology and biochemistry experiments
• Experience in protein expression/purification and enzymatic systems
• Proven experience operating, organizing, and maintaining teaching/research laboratories
• Advantage: experience in chemical/electrochemical work
• Advantage: experience training or instructing students
