Backend Team Lead

We are looking for a Backend Team-Lead to take a central role in shaping the future of drone connectivity. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who brings both strong technical expertise and a passion for mentoring and guiding software engineers. You will… 

• Lead and mentor a team of 4-6 software engineers while maintaining hands-on development involvement.
• Design and develop software for cutting-edge drone communication systems.
• Champion software development best practices across the team and organization.
• Architect and implement solutions for unmanned devices using Python.
• Make key design decisions for our software, using object-oriented programming and micro-services architecture.
• Guide the team using SCRUM agile methods.
• Own feature delivery from planning through architecture, implementation, and deployment.
• Foster collaboration within your team to innovate and deliver impactful solutions.
  
  

• ‎6+ years of hands-on software development experience, with strong proficiency in Python.
• 2+ years of experience in leading SW teams
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and grow a technical team.
• The ability to leverage AI tools to enhance your creativity, innovation, and productivity in day-to-day work.
• A proven track record of building and maintaining backend systems in production environments.
• Experience developing cloud-based software with AWS, MongoDB, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Hands-on experience leading Agile SCRUM teams and applying software development best practices.
• The capability to balance technical leadership responsibilities with active, hands-on development.
• Excellent prioritization skills and the ability to make thoughtful technical trade-offs.
  
  

• Knowledge of Linux networking, communication protocols, embedded systems, and IoT.
