Role Description
This is a part-time, hybrid role based in the Jerusalem District, Israel. The Variant Scientist will be responsible for the identification, interpretation, and classification of genetic variants. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth genetic analyses, ensuring accurate reporting of findings, collaborating with clinical teams to provide actionable insights, and contributing to the development of new methodologies for variant interpretation and research.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Human Genetics, Genomics, and Variant Analysis
- Experience in Bioinformatics tools
- Knowledge of molecular biology techniques and laboratory operations
- Proficiency in interpreting and reporting genetic test results
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information across scientific and medical teams
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D./MD) in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Familiarity with clinical settings and experience in translational research is beneficial
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Hebrew is advantageous
