🛠️ Role Description

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle—from planning and design to development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design and implement a scalable backend platform and microservices using Python (FastAPI) or Node.js.
• Build and optimize complex queries and data models using PostgreSQL, ensuring high performance at scale.
• Develop and manage cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and S3.
• Integrate third-party AI services (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, AWS Bedrock) to power conversational and automation features.
• Collaborate with product managers and backend engineers to define and deliver impactful technical solutions.
• Actively participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous engineering process improvements.
  

✅ Qualifications

• 4+ years of backend development experience with Python (FastAPI) or Node.js.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, query optimization, and complex SQL logic.
• Proven ability to design and build cloud-native applications on AWS, using services such as ECS, S3.
• Experience integrating AI/ML APIs (e.g., OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Gemini) into real-world applications.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous processing, with experience designing for scalability, fault tolerance, and high availability.
• Experience building and maintaining event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with system design principles, including tradeoffs in database models, caching strategies, consistency models, and modular API boundaries.
• Experience with observability tooling (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, Sentry) and building systems with operational visibility in mind.
• Strong foundation in software development best practices, including unit testing, integration testing, Git workflows, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfortable in an agile, iterative development process with regular code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain decisions and systems.

• Experience with prompt engineering or GenAI workflows (e.g., RAG).
• Background in AI-driven product development, especially applying LLMs or recommendation systems in production environments.
• Familiarity with AI observability tools and best practices for monitoring model performance, latency, and drift in production environments.
