Backend Engineer - Enterprise

Job Description

As a Backend Engineer for Wix Enterprise, you will be a key player in building the future of our B2B offerings. You'll tackle the complex challenges of creating secure, multi-tenant solutions for our largest clients. You will take full ownership of features from the database to the API, and collaborate with a talented team to deliver high-impact products in a fast-paced, iterative environment. You will:

• Innovate and experiment with new technologies to design and develop multi-tenant enterprise solutions
• Write modular, hands-on Scala or Java code, balancing rapid prototyping with long-term maintainability
• Deliver scalable, high-quality products using an iterative, release-driven methodology
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, UX, and BI stakeholders to align on requirements and achieve team goals
• Take full ownership of the development cycle, from database integration to API creation and deployment
• Optimize the performance of complex, data-driven applications
• Contribute to a culture of innovation and knowledge-sharing within the R&D community
  
  

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in backend development
• Fluent in both spoken and written Hebrew and English
• A strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented software design
• A startup mindset combined with production-level discipline to build simple, robust, and maintainable solutions
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• A genuine passion for continuous learning and exploring emerging technologies
• Experience or a strong interest in AI technologies would be an advantage

Our group is responsible for onboarding new customers and partners, managing and implementing web-based projects, and helping customers understand and implement new features.

We are Wix's Backend Engineering Guild. We provide integrated tools for microservice development within Wix to help improve developer productivity and best practices. These tools streamline the development process and reduce cognitive load allowing Wix Engineers to concentrate on their domain, architecture, and business logic. To handle high-scale traffic (over 500B HTTP requests per day) and 500+ daily deployments, our team of 500 Backend Engineers runs production across 19 distributed data centers and cloud.
