About the Role

We are looking for an Engineering Group Manager to lead a multidisciplinary engineering organization responsible for one of our core product areas.

This role includes managing team leads and multiple engineering teams - Backend, Frontend, Full-Stack, Data Science, Analytics, and QA.

You will combine strategic thinking, strong execution skills, and deep technical understanding to drive engineering excellence and deliver high-quality, scalable products.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & People Development

• Lead an engineering group, including several team leads and their teams
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineering managers and individual contributors
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Strategy & Delivery

• Partner with Product, Data, and Operations to define engineering direction and roadmap
• Translate high-level business goals into actionable engineering plans
• Ensure high-quality, timely delivery of complex projects
• Balance technical considerations with business priorities

Engineering Excellence

• Set and maintain high standards for code quality, scalability, performance, and reliability
• Lead architectural decisions and drive technical best practices
• Oversee production readiness, monitoring, incident response, and system health for large-scale SaaS environments
• Improve development processes, deployment pipelines, and engineering KPIs

Operational Effectiveness

• Own capacity planning, resource allocation, and execution processes
• Define and measure engineering KPIs to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements
• Support continuous optimization across teams and systems

Requirements

• 5+ years managing engineering groups, including team leads and multidisciplinary teams
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering
• Proven experience delivering scalable SaaS products end-to-end
• Strong understanding of backend, frontend, databases, cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), and modern development processes
• Experience with performance management, KPI-driven engineering, and process optimization
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, think strategically, and drive innovation

Nice to Have

• Experience working with large-scale ML/AI-powered systems
• Background in B2B SaaS products
• Exposure to operations, monitoring, and production environments at scale
