2026 Spring Hardware QA intern

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Hardware QA Intern, you will be part of the Controls R&D Team and will take part in the development of advanced controllers for the semiconductor industry and other high-end markets. Your focus will be on the validation and verification (V&V) processes, in close cooperation with the design engineers. You will report to the Hardware R&D Manager.

You will:

• Be exposed to the design, characterization, and system integration processes for new MKS products.
• Use sophisticated computer programs and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and perform tests according to detailed instructions.
• Collect and analyze technical data and summarize results.
• Interface with multi-disciplinary design engineers to ensure successful software and hardware integration.
  
  

• BSc or MSc student in Electrical Engineering; at least in your 3rd year of BSc studies.
• Familiarity with standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.
• Ability to read and follow test plans, electrical schematics, and related documentation.
• Understanding of basic analog and digital components and signal properties.
• Ability to complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines.
• Results-driven personality with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• A team player, willing to share knowledge and cooperate with peers.
  
  

• Experience with electrical verification at the component level.
• General knowledge of Ethernet networks; experience with fieldbus communication is a plus.
• Experience working in a technology-rich environment.
  
  

• Position based at our Rehovot, Israel offices (very close to the train station).
• This is a hands-on laboratory position that requires on-site presence.
• 2–3 working days per week.
• As an intern, you will have flexibility to combine your studies with work.
