Backend Team Lead – Leading Bank | Central Israel
A leading financial organization is looking for a Backend Team Lead to join and lead a dynamic, high-performing development team.
You’ll take ownership of a production system serving over 3.5 million customers, drive the design of high-availability, distributed systems, and lead complex technical initiatives in a modern, event-driven architecture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a mixed backend team, providing technical guidance and hands-on leadership.
- Oversee large-scale production environments and ensure system stability and scalability.
- Design and implement distributed systems using Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable backend solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chapter Lead / Tech Lead with strong technical drive and self-learning ability.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
- Strong background with Spring Framework and Spring Boot – must.
- Experience developing RESTful Services, including designing and exposing REST APIs and Swagger documentation – must.
- Experience with Kafka and event-driven development – must.
- Solid knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CI/CD processes.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring and team growth.
