Company Description
We are building a next-generation platform for rational drug design that replaces trial-and-error discovery with precision. By applying a physics- and geometry-based approach, we systematically identify optimal molecules that can bind to any target protein.
As part of this mission, our stealth-mode startup in the pharmaceutical field is looking for a Head Chemist. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of physics, organic chemistry, mathematics, algorithms, and biochemistry to tackle one of the industry’s most fundamental challenges — a problem with potential value in the trillions.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Head Chemist. The Head Chemist will oversee the planning and set-up of the laboratory, recruit and manage a team of chemists, plan and execute the synthesis of thousands of organic molecules either in house or through outsourcing.
Qualifications
- Experienced Organic Chemist with a Ph.D.
- A chemist with significant experience in managing R&D groups (he/she will be directing 10-20 people plus dozens more overseas in outsourcing).
- Prior experience as a medicinal chemist within a pharmaceutical company is considered an advantage, though not mandatory.
