Mechanical Engineer

POS for one of our customers which is driving innovation in detachable chip-to-chip connectivity through passive-alignment fiber attachment for Optical-GPU Co-Package solutions in the AI market.

Their advanced systems, trusted by leading global players, are redefining industry standards and shaping the future of chip-to-chip technology.

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a strong process-engineering orientation to join our team in the Jerusalem area.

What will you do:

• Develop and optimize high-precision opto-mechanical assembly processes

• Lead automation projects – Pick & Place, adhesive dispensing, screwing systems

• Design and validate jigs & fixtures for optical assemblies of fiber ribbons to optical plugs in cleanroom environments

• Work with epoxy and optical adhesives

• Solve complex engineering challenges and ensure scalability toward mass production

• Collaborate closely with R&D, NPI, and production teams

 Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering – must, minimum 5 years of experience

• Experience with opto-mechanical assemblies and tight tolerances – advantage

• Proven experience in automation and process engineering (P&P, dispensing, optical assemblies)

• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach

• Experience with automotive-grade manufacturing standards (ISO9001, ISO10110) – advantage

• Excellent English and communication skills
