Back End Developer

About the Role

Join a growing development team within an innovative Defense Tech company building advanced mission systems, large-scale C4I platforms, intelligence solutions, and AI-driven SaaS products. This role includes full ownership of designing, developing, and scaling complex backend services that support real-time decision-making, data-intensive pipelines, and cloud-native SaaS architectures.

Responsibilities

Design and build high-scale backend systems based on microservices for AI, data, and SaaS environments.

Develop end-to-end features: design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Take an active role in architectural design, system design, and technology evaluations.

Collaborate closely with Data, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and Product teams.

Optimize performance, conduct code reviews, and enforce best practices.

Work on critical systems involving real-time processing, big data, and distributed computing.

Ensure quality, security, and compliance with strict SLAs across cloud-based SaaS platforms.

Requirements

6+ years of backend/fullstack development experience.

Strong experience in one of the following languages: Node.js / Python / Go . Past C++ a Plus.

Hands-on experience with AI-oriented or data-intensive systems (pipelines, model integration, feature services).

Experience with cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes.

Deep understanding of distributed architectures, messaging systems, and event-driven patterns.

Experience with REST/GraphQL and SQL/NoSQL databases.

Advantage: experience building SaaS products, developing in security/defense domains, or working with real-time/big-data systems.

Strong technical leadership, system-level thinking, and a full-ownership mindset.

Nice to Have

Experience with TypeScript and frontend frameworks (React/Vue).

Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, MLOps, or observability tooling.

Experience working in sensitive, regulated, or classified environments
