Cybersecurity Systems Protection Engineer | Ashdod | ELTA Systems IAI

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Protection Engineer to join our Cyber Division in the ELTA business unit. This role involves designing and implementing advanced cybersecurity solutions for weapon systems.

The position includes:

• Planning and leading cybersecurity requirements and work guidelines for infrastructure, development, and application teams

• Conducting threat analysis, defining and implementing integrated protection solutions including requirements definition, architecture design, selection of protection components, development, and integration into weapon systems

• Applying cybersecurity expertise to systems engineering, integrating existing and new protection technologies and mechanisms while meeting functional and performance requirements

• Implementing computing and protection mechanisms (security controls and mitigations) for hardware- and software-based systems, including processors, dongles, network devices, peripheral devices, storage devices, open-source and proprietary software, and relevant standards

• Developing solutions that meet regulatory standards, with a deep understanding of the threat landscape, threat modeling, and trusted computing principles for varied systems and computing infrastructures

• Working closely with team members, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of solutions with customer requirements

What we’re looking for:

• Engineering degree in Software, Information Systems, Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering – strong advantage

• At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity – required

• Knowledge of operating systems – required

• Specialization, familiarity, and experience in systems engineering combining software, firmware, hardware, and network components – advantage

• Experience in cybersecurity defense, networks, and encryption – strong advantage

• Motivation to tackle technological challenges and work collaboratively in a team environment
