AI Researcher

Role Description

We are responsible for inventing and developing AI models that can perform previously impossible tasks or achieve unprecedented levels of performance.

The most outstanding deep learning results are increasingly attained at a massive scale. These results require researchers who are comfortable designing, experimenting, and scaling novel machine learning approaches. We are building a new class of models trained on unique, large-scale datasets, requiring new algorithms and model architectures.

We believe research and engineering will play the key role in most major advances in AI of the future.

Qualifications

• Have strong programming and system design skills.
• Have experience building, implementing, and scaling large-scale distributed systems (especially for real-time data ingestion or ML inference).
• Be able to write robust, bug-free, and high-performance machine learning code that will run on millions of diverse edge devices.
• Have a track record of coming up with new ideas or improving upon existing ideas in machine learning, demonstrated by accomplishments such as first author publications or projects
• Help build the science behind the algorithms, translating raw telemetry and visual data into a deep, structured understanding of work.
• Possess the ability to own and pursue a research agenda, including choosing impactful research problems and autonomously carrying out long-running projects

Nice to Have

• Interested in and thoughtful about the impacts of AI and automation technology.
• Past experience in creating high-performance, on-device (edge) implementations of deep learning algorithms.
• Experience with multi-modal models (e.g., combining visual, text, and sequence data).
• Familiarity with UI automation technologies, computer vision for UI, or process mining.
