Get ready to lead the team that is shaping the future of software development at Palo Alto Networks! You will manage a pioneering team building our agentic AI tool. This isn't just another product; it's our strategic solution for supercharging developer productivity through advanced vibe coding using state-of-the-art LLM models.

We are developing an enterprise-grade, high-scale platform, designed to be used by thousands of engineers. We are looking for an innovative, creative, agile, visionary, and experienced leader who is excited to build and guide the team, defining our next generation of engineering.

Your Impact

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of backend and AI developers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and velocity.
• Develop and execute a strategic, long-term vision and roadmap for the team, aligning with the broader company goals for developer productivity.
• Partner closely with key internal stakeholders to define scope, manage priorities, and drive engagement and adoption for your tools.
• Drive the team's technical direction, leading architectural and design reviews for sophisticated, hyper-scalable AI-powered features.
• Champion and improve engineering best practices - from agile methodologies and CI/CD to ensuring enterprise-grade quality and reliability for our live production systems.
• Actively recruit, hire, and onboard the best engineering talent to scale the team and its impact.
  
  

Qualifications

Your Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong backend background.
• 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead.
• Proven experience managing engineering teams within a large, enterprise-level corporate environment.
• Demonstrated success in driving stakeholder engagement, managing dependencies, and communicating a compelling technical vision.
• Experience managing teams that build and maintain live, high-scale cloud production systems.
• A strong interest and understanding of AI-driven developer tools, generative AI, or LLM systems.
• An innovative, creative, and agile mindset with excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
• A deep passion for enhancing the developer experience.
• An Advantage:
• Experience in languages like Python, Golang, TypeScript, or .NET.
• Experience with developing systems using LLM integration.
• Experience with developing IDE plugins.
• Experience in cloud or code security.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience.
