Senior Software Developer – Trading Services Unit – Information Technology & Operations Department

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange plays a central role in the Israeli economy and provides a market infrastructure that drives economic growth. As the only securities exchange in Israel, with regulated access and a need for highly reliable technological infrastructure, Israeli companies and the government rely on TASE’s markets for capital and liquidity.

We are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Trading Services Unit within the Information Technology & Operations Department.

In this key role, you will take part in the design, development, and leadership of projects involving mission-critical trading systems that power the daily operations of the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and lead projects for core trading systems.
• Manage software development life cycles and version releases, including production deployment.
• Prepare technical specifications, procedures, and test documentation (in Hebrew and English).
• Plan and define tests for relevant systems, including functional, load, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with internal TASE teams on requirements, development follow-up, issue handling, and troubleshooting.
• Provide immediate support for production issues and handle real-time client requests.

Requirements

• B.Sc. in Computer Science or graduate of an elite technological unit.
• Proven experience in project management – mandatory.
• Proven experience developing in C and C++ in a Linux environment.
• Strong background in Object-Oriented Design & Development and Design Patterns.
• Experience developing real-time, multi-threaded, high-performance applications (latency and throughput) under Linux.
• Experience in Java development – an advantage.
• Experience writing scripts in Bash or Python – an advantage.
• Familiarity with Linux internals – an advantage.
• Experience with Boost libraries – an advantage.
• Experience with TCP, UDP, and Multicast communication – an advantage.
• Familiarity with trading systems or financial applications – an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, service orientation, and the ability to work effectively with internal and external partners.
• Ability to learn independently, multitask, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call and evening duties.
