Senior Mechanical Engineer (equity based role)

Who we are

We are the replanters' – developing the first-of-its-kind fresh produce machine to grow and supply fresh produce on site-on demand for supermarkets, restaurants and food service facilities

We are an early stage agrifood tech startup, and are looking to expand our core, motivated, multi-disciplinary and phenomenal founding team.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a part time experienced and passionate senior R&D mechanical engineer, with a hands-on approach.

This role is currently equity-based.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop core functions of our product with the ability to create fast iteration, integration and rapid prototyping and lead to mass production.
• Assist in leading the product development life cycle from demo stage to prototype and mass production via feasibility, risk analysis, prototyping, design, implementation and validation of components.
• Test prototypes and develop agile testing systems methodologies to ensure the highest standards of quality.
• Manage supplier relationships and collaborate with internal departments.
• Write and review R&D documentation including requirements, test protocols, analysis of test results and report generation for continuous learning and improvements.
• Lead engineering changes and continuously improve our product designs.

Requirements

• Brilliant mechanical engineer with at least 5+ years of experience in mechanical design.
• Solid experience with SolidWorks
• Experience in design for agriculture and/or food industry- preferable.
• Experience in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) - an advantage.
• Experience with PLMs and ECOs.
• BA in Mechanical Engineering
