About the Role
IAI is seeking a Chief Electrical Engineer to take full professional responsibility for the company’s electrical infrastructure. This strategic position requires strong technical expertise, assertive leadership, and experience managing complex, large-scale power systems across a distributed industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee IAI’s entire electrical network, including multi-year development of power sources and supply networks to meet corporate needs at all levels.
- Provide professional guidance to operational and maintenance teams to improve reliability, performance, and quality of electrical supply.
- Supervise planning, design, and execution of electrical components in construction and retrofit projects.
- Manage corporate energy systems, drive energy efficiency, optimize costs, and monitor performance; report results to management and regulatory authorities.
- Initiate, specify, and implement digital systems for electricity and energy infrastructure management.
- Develop internal knowledge, best practices, standards, and technical solutions; lead feasibility studies, lessons-learned, and engineering guidance.
- Conduct technical consultations, feasibility assessments, and professional evaluations for company management.
- Represent IAI professionally with authorities such as the Electricity Authority, Ministry of Energy, and other regulatory bodies.
Requirements
- Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer with minimum 10 years of experience – required.
- At least 10 years as responsible engineer in large-scale electricity projects, including design, energy management, operations, and maintenance – required.
- Licensed Electrical Inspector (Type 3) – advantage.
- Deep expertise in electrical systems and technologies, including: high-voltage systems, protections, low-voltage panels, PV & storage, generators and synchronization, UPS, inverters, lighting, building management systems, energy-saving systems, and energy management IT solutions.
- M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Systems, or Management – advantage.
- Experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of high-voltage facilities – advantage.
- Strong leadership, assertiveness, and ability to manage matrix teams and internal knowledge development.
