Position Summary

We are seeking an AI Builder to spearhead the integration of AI tools and automation across all departments at Grain. In this role, you'll work as a strategic partner to teams throughout the organization, identifying opportunities to leverage AI for operational efficiency, enhanced decision-making, and improved customer experiences. You'll design and implement practical AI solutions that directly impact our fintech platform and internal workflows.

As our AI Builder, you'll bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI capabilities and real-world business needs. You'll evaluate emerging AI technologies, build proof-of-concepts, deploy production-ready solutions, and empower teams to effectively utilize AI tools. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical AI expertise with strong business acumen and thrives on translating complex technology into tangible value.

Responsibilities

• Partner with department leaders to identify high-impact opportunities for AI integration and automation across the organization.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered tools and workflows tailored to specific business needs (operations, customer success, risk management, product, etc.).
• Build and maintain automated systems using LLMs, machine learning models, and AI APIs to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance decision-making processes.
• Evaluate and implement third-party AI tools and platforms that align with business objectives.
• Create documentation, training materials, and best practices to enable teams to effectively adopt and use AI solutions.
• Monitor and optimize deployed AI systems for performance, accuracy, and reliability.
• Stay current with AI advancements and assess their applicability to fintech and cross-border payment solutions.
• Establish governance frameworks and ethical guidelines for responsible AI usage across the organization.
• Measure and report on the ROI and impact of AI initiatives.

Qualifications

Mandatory

• Strong proficiency with LLMs and prompt engineering (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, open-source models).
• Understanding of automation tools and workflows (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n, or custom solutions).
• Experience with AI APIs and platforms (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure AI,etc.).
• Ability to quickly prototype solutions and iterate based on user feedback.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action and practical problem-solving.

Nice to Have / Plus

• Hands-on experience building AI applications using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar tools is a strong plus
• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) is a strong plus
• Experience in fintech, financial services, or highly regulated industries is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is a plus
