Mobile Engineer

A seed-stage startup developing a Short Drama platform, part of a global trend, creating high-quality in-house content optimized for mobile, with advanced engagement, retention, and smart monetization tools. The company has completed a strategic bootstrap funding round and is seeking a CTO to take the platform to the next level.

Supported by one of Israel’s leading content groups with international experience, and led by seasoned entrepreneurs, the company currently has 10 employees, based in Tel Aviv near the train, with one day of remote work per week.

The role is for a hands-on technology leader, reporting directly to the CEO, with full ownership of the application. Responsibilities include managing the app, architecture and development in React Native (Android and iOS), AWS environment, FinOps, managing external development teams, and developing content recommendation and gamification systems.

Requirements-

• 6+ years of development experience.
• Significant experience with React Native (mobile app development).
• Experience with at least one leading Cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proven experience in a senior tech leadership role (CTO, VP Engineering/R&D, Head of Tech).
• Full-stack hands-on development experience (frontend and backend).
• Expertise in DevOps, FinOps, and infrastructure cost management.
• Experience in CI/CD and working in production environments, including observability.
• Experience managing outsourced or offshore development teams.
• Startup mentality – proactive, agile, and execution-oriented.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.
