OCIO Lead – Strategic Role in IT Transformation 233349

A global transportation group, with operations across Israel and Europe and over 11,500 employees, is undergoing a major transformation. Over the past six years, the organization has focused on efficiency, growth, acquisitions, and expansion into new business areas.

We are looking for a senior OCIO (Office of the CIO) Lead to join the Information Systems Division. This division is responsible for IT systems, technology, operational excellence, innovation, and cybersecurity.

This is a key strategic role reporting directly to the VP of Information Systems. The OCIO Lead will manage cross-organizational initiatives including annual work plans, budgeting, policy development, governance, and risk management. The role requires strong leadership, matrix management skills, and the ability to drive complex organizational processes.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the development and execution of the division’s annual work plan and budget
• Monitoring project steering committees and risk management plans
• Driving internal communications and governance routines
• Designing and implementing professional and managerial training programs
• Leading knowledge management initiatives and policy implementation
• Initiating and overseeing the adoption of technological tools to support division operations
• Drafting policies, procedures, and operational guidelines in collaboration with department heads
• Supporting strategic tasks as assigned by the VP

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (Management, Information Systems, Economics, or Social Sciences)
• At least 5 years of proven leadership experience in cross-functional roles involving planning, budgeting, policy, and governance
• Experience in matrix management and collaboration with senior leadership
• Demonstrated success in leading complex organizational change and implementation processes
