Linux System Engineer for a Leading Defense Project

We are seeking a Linux System Engineer to join a large-scale technology program in the defense sector.

This role involves working within a substantial engineering and infrastructure team, collaborating closely with development and R&D groups on classified projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy, support, and maintain computing infrastructures for complex Command & Control systems
• Handle incidents in both lab and customer environments across multiple sites
• Provide dynamic, rapid solutions within heterogeneous and multi-disciplinary development environments
• Integrate with adjacent systems and supporting infrastructures
• Prepare technical documentation, procedures, and system specifications
• Full-time on-site position in the central region (non-hybrid)

Must-Have Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Linux-based operating systems
• Experience managing Microsoft Domain environments
• Strong understanding of operating system processes
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking
• Experience setting up and maintaining DC servers, creating and distributing GPOs
• Familiarity with certificate deployment and Microsoft CA
• Experience working with virtualized environments (VM deployment, networking configuration, snapshots)
• Experience with Storage solutions — advantage (NetApp)

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to integrate into an existing IT/engineering team, with strong self-learning capability and excellent interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to various sites in Israel and occasionally abroad
• Availability for non-standard working hours as needed
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (Level 3)
