Cyber Infrastructure Architect – El Al Israel Airlines

El Al’s Cyber Division is seeking a Cyber Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise security solutions across the organization.

This is a key role combining deep technological expertise, strategic thinking, and broad system vision, ensuring that El Al’s infrastructure remains secure, resilient, and aligned with the highest global standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of El Al’s infrastructure security strategy, ensuring alignment with business and technological goals.
• Define and implement end-to-end security architectures for enterprise infrastructure projects — from design phase through delivery.
• Develop and maintain security solutions for networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud environments (Azure / AWS).
• Conduct risk assessments and threat analyses, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Guide and oversee the implementation of security controls and tools, defining success metrics and ensuring built-in security across IT processes.
• Collaborate with cross-organizational teams including IT, Cloud, and Development to embed security best practices into every layer of infrastructure.
• Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, adapting protection strategies accordingly.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Cyber / Security Architect or in similar senior cybersecurity roles within large organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master’s – an advantage).
• Strong technical background in infrastructure and networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Firewalls) and virtualization environments.
• Experience in designing and implementing multi-cloud security architectures (Azure, AWS).
• Proven experience writing HLD / LLD security architecture documents.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or AWS/Azure Security Specialty – strong advantage.
