Backend Team Lead (Cloud Department)

Lendbuzz is expanding its Cloud & Infrastructure department in Tel Aviv, and we’re looking for a Backend Team Lead with a strong backend foundation to help us scale, improve productivity, and strengthen our cloud-based platform.

This role combines technical leadership, hands-on backend work, and ownership over cloud-native architecture in a fast-growing fintech environment.

What you will do:

• Lead and mentor engineers within the Cloud department
• Own cloud-based architecture, backend services, and distributed systems
• Design and build scalable, secure, production-grade cloud solutions
• Work with containerized environments (Docker, ECS, K8s)
• Develop backend components and internal tools in Python / Typescript
• Drive CI/CD processes, automation, and IaC best practices
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture and integrations
• Ensure high availability, observability, and system reliability
  
  

• BSc in Computer Science (MUST)
• 5+ years hands-on experience in backend development (Python advantage)
• Strong system design & architecture background
• Experience working with cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Experience with Microservices
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience with Docker or containerized workloads
• Experience building APIs and backend infrastructure
• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew & English
