Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a Storage & Linux Specialist for a major organization in the Sharon area
Role Overview:
A senior technical role responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise storage environments based on NetApp and DellEMC. The position includes ensuring high availability and performance, implementing backup and recovery solutions, and supporting IT and DevOps teams with storage architectures tailored to their needs. The role also involves performance monitoring, capacity planning, and enforcing security policies in storage environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administration, maintenance, and upgrades of NetApp and DellEMC storage systems.
- Troubleshooting issues, performance tuning, and optimizing storage resources.
- Working with backup and replication technologies: Snapshot, SnapMirror, SnapVault.
- Supporting IT/DevOps teams with storage provisioning for development and production environments.
- Monitoring performance, capacity management, and applying storage security controls.
- Creating documentation and transferring knowledge to technical teams.
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a storage specialist.
- Hands-on experience with NetApp and DellEMC systems, including configuration, maintenance, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of NFS, CIFS, storage connectivity, VLAN, trunking, and TCP/IP.
- Full proficiency in Linux and scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible).
- Experience provisioning storage in VMware environments and on physical servers.
