We are currently seeking a Backend Engineer (Nayax Energy) to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company.

Nayax Energy is a dynamic division of Nayax, dedicated to powering the future of mobility through smart, cashless fintech solutions for the Electric Vehicle (EV) ecosystem.

By combining cutting-edge technology with a passion for sustainability, we deliver seamless payment, management, and automation platforms that make EV charging smarter, simpler, and more accessible worldwide.

The Backend Engineer will report directly to the Software Director, Nayax Energy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using C# and .NET Core
• Build scalable APIs and microservices for EV fintech platforms
• Work with SQL Server, Redis, and messaging systems like RabbitMQ or Amazon SQS
• Support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to automated testing (unit, integration, performance)
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Kibana
• Collaborate with Product, DevOps, QA, and Frontend teams in an Agile environment
• Collaborate on the design and integration of AI-based tools to enhance automation, insights and system behavior.
  
  

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in backend development with a focus on .NET technologies and automation.
• Languages & Frameworks: C#, .NET Core, SQL Server.
• Infrastructure & Messaging: Redis, RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS.
• Automation & DevOps Tools: Git, GitLab/GitHub, TeamCity, Docker, Kubernetes (advantage).
• Testing & Monitoring: NUnit/XUnit, Postman/Newman, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana/Elastic, or similar.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive backend initiatives end-to-end.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and technical judgment.
• Collaborative attitude with communication skills in Agile environments.
