תיאור התפקיד

החברה מחפשת מטפח/ת גד"ש שאוהב/ת ללכלך את הידיים, להובלת טיפוח קווים פתוחים/טהורים של גידולי שדה כגון קינואה, קצח, חומוס ואבטיח לפיצוח. התפקיד כולל ניהול ואיסוף חומר גנטי טיפוחי,

תכנון וניהול ניסויי שדה, הכלאות וסלקציה של קווי טיפוח, ניתוח נתונים, ועבודה משותפת עם אגרונומים וחוקרים לפיתוח זנים משופרים המותאמים לגידול בישראל. 

עבודה משולבת בשדה, בחממות ובמעבדה, עבודה מעשית עם מחקר יישומי בסביבה חקלאית דינמית וחדשנית.

דרישות התפקיד

תואר שני או שלישי* בגנטיקה של צמחים, או טיפוח.

ניסיון מוכח בתכנון ניסויים וניתוח נתונים.

יכולת עבודה עצמאית וניהול פעילויות שטח, לצד שיתוף פעולה בצוות רב-תחומי.

תשומת לב לפרטים, יכולת פתרון בעיות וחשיבה ביקורתית.

מחויבות לטווח ארוך ורצון להתפתח יחד עם החברה.

Dalia Seeds is an Israeli agricultural company focused on developing and producing high-quality field crops suited to local growing conditions. The company develops both traditional crops and novel premium crops to be grown in Israel. Dalia Seeds combines practical field experience with applied research to improve yields, stability, and quality—supporting Israeli farmers from seed to harvest.

Role Description

Dalia Seeds is seeking a hands-on plant breeder to lead breeding open pollinated/pure lines of field crops such as quinoa, nigella, chickpeas, and confectionery watermelon. The role includes planning and managing field trials, selecting breeding lines, analyzing data, and collaborating with agronomists and researchers to develop improved varieties suited to Israeli growing conditions. This is a full-time, on-site position for someone willing to get their hands dirty - combining practical field work with applied research in a dynamic agricultural environment.

Qualifications

M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Plant Breeding, Genetics, or Agronomy.

Proven experience in experimental design and data analysis.

Ability to work independently, manage field activities, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and critical thinking.

Long-term commitment and motivation to grow with the company.

Advantage:

Experience with field crops (especially pulses, grains, or oilseeds).

Hands-on background in field trial management and plant selection.

Experience in breeding of pure lines or open-pollinated crops.
