System Analyst (COBOL / AS400)

We are seeking a System Analyst with COBOL and AS400 experience for a leading organization in the healthcare domain.

This role is part of a core technology team responsible for mission-critical operational systems, including membership, eligibility, billing, and policy administration.

Responsibilities:

• Perform end-to-end system analysis in a complex enterprise environment

• Write functional and technical specifications (HLD/LLD)

• Read and analyze COBOL code and AS400 components

• Design business and technical interfaces (REST/SOAP/APIs)

• Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product owners, and senior business stakeholders

• Support production processes and conduct root-cause analysis

• Lead cross-team processes and ensure alignment across systems

Requirements:

• Academic degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Systems - mandatory

• 3+ years of experience as a System Analyst in multi-interface environments

• Experience writing functional and technical specifications

• Practical background in software development- mandatory

• Hands-on experience reading COBOL code -mandatory

• Experience in AS400 / IBM i environments -major advantage

• Strong SQL skills

• Experience working in Agile methodology

• Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
