Research And Development Engineer

Crocevia Medical, an early-stage startup developing tools for neurovascular interventions, is seeking a talented and motivated R&D Engineer to join our growing team.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary effort at the forefront of minimally invasive medical device innovation — from concept to clinical translation.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in all phases of product development, from concept design to preclinical validation.
• Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and testing setups to support R&D, manufacturing, and verification activities.
• Plan and execute validation and verification testing, including data analysis and documentation.
• Set up and conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate device performance.
• Work hands-on in the lab performing mechanical assemblies, micro-welding, heat treatments, 3d prints, and other prototyping processes.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, clinical, and manufacturing teams to accelerate development.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in R&D within a medical device company.
• Strong proficiency in CAD design and mechanical design principles.
• Proven ability to translate ideas into prototypes and functional test setups.
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).

Advantages:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
• Experience with neurovascular, cardiovascular, or other minimally invasive devices.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and medical device documentation.
• Experience with laser processes, micro-assembly, or precision mechanics.
