Now, we’re moving beyond n8n into a robust, scalable architecture powered by Python, TypeScript, and advanced AI agents, with knowledge and execution at the core.

The Role

We’re looking for a VP of R&D to lead Vira AI’s technology vision and execution. You will be the driving force behind scaling our MVP into a world-class product, moving our agents out of workflow tools and into a dedicated, high-performance AI infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

• Define and execute Vira’s technical roadmap, leading the transition from n8n workflows to Python- and TypeScript-based agents.
• Build and lead the R&D team, driving innovation across AI, automation, and scalable cloud systems.
• Architect and optimize our infrastructure on Vercel, Supabase, and beyond.
• Develop core AI agent frameworks for marketing automation, campaign management, and creative generation.
• Work closely with product leadership to translate customer needs into scalable, intelligent features.
• Ensure best practices in system design, performance, and security as we scale.

What You Bring

• Proven track record as a VP R&D, Head of Engineering, or Senior Tech Lead in fast-scaling startups.
• Deep expertise in Python and TypeScript, with experience in AI agents, LangChain, or similar frameworks.
• Strong background in cloud-native architectures (serverless, Supabase, Vercel, etc.).
• Ability to design and lead development of scalable AI systems, including orchestration, memory, and knowledge integration.
• Experience taking products from MVP to scale, balancing speed with long-term architecture.
• A builder’s mindset: hands-on coding ability with leadership experience.
