Computational Researcher

The Institute for Medical BioMathematics (IMBM) is a non-profit scientific research organization developing new personalization algorithms for cancer and immunologic diseases. We are recruiting a computational researcher to develop personalization algorithms for cancer or infectious diseases. The work will be carried out in collaboration with physicians and hospitals in Israel and abroad and the candidate will lead the consultations with clinicians and will obtain information from hospitals repositories. The opening involves a full-time position and may include journeys abroad.

Requirements. The candidate should hold an MSc. or a higher degree in one of the following fields: Applied Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Biomathematics, Statistics, Theoretical Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering.

Mandatory.

·        Communication and planning skills, critical thinking and experience in a related role.  

·        Scientific publications as First Author (at least one).     

·        Experience in Matlab, Python or R programming.

·        Priority will be given to candidates with experience in cancer research.
