Data Team Lead

An E-Commerce company in the fashion industry is seeking a Hands-On Data Team Lead to lead their data platform and manage a small, growing team.

The company has 100 employees in Israel and hundreds globally.

The office is located in Ramat Gan (Bursa area) and offers 2 days of remote work per week.

Requirements:

• 6 years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields, including at least 2 years in technical or managerial leadership
• Proven experience designing and operating modern data architectures (Batch + Streaming) in the cloud
• Expertise in SQL and strong proficiency in Python
• Deep understanding of data modeling (dimensional models – Kimball, Data Vault, wide tables)
• Experience with scheduling tools (Airflow/Prefect), transformations (DBT), and CI/CD with Git
• Production experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks
• Familiarity with data quality and monitoring tools (dbt tests, Great Expectations/Soda, Lineage)
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers and VP of Analytics, including understanding BI/semantic layers (Looker/LookML, dbt metrics, Lightdash, AtScale)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a hands-on approach to unblock technical challenges
