Research Development Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary R&D team and take part in the design, development, and testing of innovative medical devices. The role involves ownership of mechanical design activities throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development to prototyping, testing, and transfer to manufacturing. The engineer will collaborate closely with R&D, QA, and manufacturing teams, supporting both development and production activities in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design and development of mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems in compliance with functional and regulatory requirements.
• Perform and analyze mechanical and system-level tests.
• Lead and support prototype development and evaluation.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality, and R&D teams.
• Collaborate with project managers, system engineers, and QA engineers during all design and design-freeze stages.
• Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and engineering change records.

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Several years of experience (preferably 3+) in design and development of invasive medical devices – a strong advantage.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary environment (R&D, QA, manufacturing).
• Proficiency in CAD design software (SolidWorks).
• Familiarity with quality and regulatory standards for medical devices – advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proactive attitude, ownership, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• High level of technical English (reading and writing).
