Data Science Team Leader

An innovative Data startup has developed AI-powered technology and advanced algorithms that allow app owners to reach their most relevant users by predicting interests in real time and analyzing data at massive scale.

The company is located in Tel Aviv, near the train station, offers two days of remote work per week, and has a team of 75 employees.

The role-

• Manages a team responsible for a key, organization-wide project, primarily focused on classical Machine Learning modules.
• Leads a team of four senior Data Scientists working on both developing models from scratch and improving existing ones.
• Combines hands-on work (approximately 50%) with leadership responsibilities.
• Builds recommendation systems and develops Deep Neural Networks (DNNs).
• Deploys models, handles Deep Learning workflows, moves models to production, and monitors performance.
• Works with extremely large, labeled tabular datasets.
• Oversees a system that processes around one million requests per second, representing a rare scale in the industry.
• Utilizes a technology stack including NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.

Requirements-

• 5+ years of experience in Machine Learning
• 2+ years of experience leading a team of ML researchers
• Strong technical skills in ML, including deep learning (bonus: recommendation systems)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
