DevOps Engineer

Position Title: DevOps Engineer Reports to: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Tradeit.gg is a leading force in the virtual skins marketplace space. We're looking for a dedicated DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us build a scalable, reliable, and high-quality platform to support our rapid growth.

What You'll Do

As our DevOps Engineer, you will be the owner of our cloud infrastructure, platform stability, and engineering velocity. You will have a massive impact on our business by implementing best practices in observability, automation, and cost optimization.

This is a key role in which you will mature our platform from the ground up, driving us toward a proactive, system-driven engineering culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Own AWS Infrastructure: Manage, optimize, and secure all AWS services (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, VPC).
• Build Observability: Implement and manage a centralized monitoring, logging, and alerting solution (e.g., Datadog, Grafana) to ensure platform stability.
• Optimize Costs: Conduct deep audits of our AWS bill and implement changes to reduce cost (e.g., resource right-sizing, optimizing data transfer).
• Automate CI/CD: Standardize and manage our CircleCI pipelines, implementing automated rollbacks and health checks to make deployments safe and fast.
• Manage Databases: Monitor and tune our core databases (MySQL, Redis, OpenSearch) for performance, and implement strategies for data archiving.
• Document Everything: Build our central knowledge base, documenting processes, architectures, and incident runbooks.

Our Ideal Candidate

Must-Have:

• 3-5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering role.
• Deep expertise with AWS (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, IAM, VPC).
• Strong hands-on experience with MySQL (performance tuning, monitoring).
• Proven experience automating CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with containerization (Docker).
• A strong understanding of observability principles and tools (e.g., Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus).

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience with OpenSearch and Redis at scale.
• Knowledge of Node.js and Vue.js application environments.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup.
