CTO

A startup in the precision oncology field, developing an AI-based SaaS platform for analyzing DNA and RNA data to provide real-time personalized treatment recommendations for oncologists and patients.

The company has offices in the Sharon region and Jerusalem, with a highly flexible hybrid work model, and a team of approximately five employees.

Responsibilities:

• Leading end-to-end product development, including the transition from MVP to a production-scale SaaS platform (scalability, reliability, security, DevOps/MLOps).
• Building, managing, and expanding a multidisciplinary team, including software, data/ML, bioinformatics, and more.
• Owning cloud architecture and infrastructure, including cost and performance management.
• Working closely with researchers and clinicians to implement solutions in clinical environments and integrate with hospital workflows in the U.S.
• Leading quality and regulatory processes related to medical software products (such as ISO 13485/14971, HIPAA, GDPR) in collaboration with regulatory consultants.

Requirements:

• Experience developing and implementing cloud-based SaaS products in a medical environment for the U.S. market.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, or another relevant field; alternatively, equivalent experience leading complex technological developments.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary development teams (software, data/ML, bioinformatics, etc.) and implementing digital-clinical systems in hospital settings.
• Experience in developing AI/ML systems (including deep learning) and strong familiarity with data workflows in NGS/RNA-Seq or similar omics sources.
• Practical knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (FDA/CE for medical software, ISO 13485/14971, HIPAA, GDPR), including information security and privacy management.
