Senior Java Backend Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Java Backend Engineer with deep hands-on expertise in cloud-native infrastructure and distributed systems. This is a core engineering role, working on the backbone of our product rather than surface-level features. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge, large-scale AWS-based architectures.

Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 remote)

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement scalable microservice architectures using AWS technologies.
• Develop and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services in Java Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new product features.
• Develop and scale microservices in AWS using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and implement cloud-native architectures and large-scale distributed systems
• Build and maintain Product Infrastructure components (core services, system foundations, platform capabilities)
• Take full ownership of services in production, including advanced debugging, performance optimization, and reliability improvements
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Observability tools, and cloud automation
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure high availability, resilience, and scale

• What We’re Looking For:
• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent - Must
• 4+ years of experience in Java development - Must
• 4+ years of experience in cloud-based development - Must
• Strong, proven experience developing backend systems in Java (Spring Boot, Microservices, JVM ecosystem) - Must
• Solid background in Cloud Infrastructure (preferably AWS) beyond simple deployments - Must
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade distributed systems - Must
• Experience in SaaS, Startup, or Product companies - Must
• Engineers who built core infrastructure, not only feature-level development - Must
• Proven experience in RESTful API design, debugging, and software architecture - Must
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Spring/Spring Boot, and distributed production systems - Must
• Experience designing and scaling microservices architectures - Must
