Job Summary (Technical Delivery Manager)

Location: McLean, RIchmond VA

• Lead technical delivery for large-scale data conversion and migration projects, specifically supporting Capital One’s acquisition and integration of Discover systems.
• Manage and drive system design for native cloud and API-based architectures, ensuring robust data conversion and migration processes.
• Oversee customer resiliency initiatives, including collections and recoveries, by coordinating technical solutions and integration efforts.
• Evaluate, compare, and integrate technology platforms and capabilities between Capital One and Discover to identify and implement the best solutions.
• Collaborate closely with architecture, product, and engineering teams to quickly understand complex technical architectures and data designs across multiple systems.
• Apply Agile and Scrum methodologies, utilizing Jira and Confluence for project tracking and team collaboration.
• Identify project risks and proactively remove blockers to maintain project momentum and meet deadlines.
• Manage dependencies across multiple teams and functions, ensuring coordinated execution of migration and integration activities.
• Implement effective program management processes, governance frameworks, and best practices for delivery and execution.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, demonstrating strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Take ownership of multiple concurrent initiatives, demonstrating adaptability and the ability to juggle competing priorities.
• Apply strong process orientation with a focus on execution and delivery outcomes.
• Leverage experience in collections and recoveries domain as relevant to customer resiliency efforts.
  
  

• 10+ years of relevant experience in technical program/delivery management.
• Prior experience as a contractor at Capital One.
• Hands-on experience with native cloud platforms, API integration, and large-scale data conversion/migration.
• Strong technical acumen and ability to quickly ramp up on new architectures and data designs.
• Proven track record of managing complex technical projects in an Agile environment.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Must be local to Richmond or McLean, VA (hybrid role).
