Storage Specialist

Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a Storage & Linux Specialist for a major organization in the Sharon area

Role Overview:

A senior hands-on role responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise storage systems based on NetApp and DellEMC, while ensuring high availability, performance, and security. The position includes supporting development and IT teams, implementing backup and recovery solutions, and monitoring storage environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration, maintenance, and upgrades of NetApp and DellEMC storage systems.
• Troubleshooting issues, performance optimization, and capacity management.
• Working with backup and recovery technologies such as Snapshot, SnapMirror, and SnapVault.
• Supporting IT and DevOps teams with storage solutions tailored to operational needs.
• Monitoring performance, implementing storage security policies, documenting procedures, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience as a Storage Specialist.
• Hands-on experience with NetApp and DellEMC: configuration, maintenance, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of NFS, CIFS, storage connectivity, VLAN, trunking, and TCP/IP.
• Full proficiency in Linux, including scripting with Bash, Python, or Ansible.
• Experience provisioning storage for VMware environments and physical servers.
