Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our team. In this key role, you will drive the design, implementation, and management of enterprise IAM solutions, particularly in the context of rapid organizational growth through Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). You will be responsible for enabling secure, seamless, and scalable identity integrations across diverse environments, ensuring robust access controls and optimizing user experience.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IAM technologies, authentication protocols, and enterprise security practices, along with strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

M&A Integration

Collaborate with the IAM Lead and business partners to plan, design, and execute IAM integration strategies for M&A activities.

Assess identity platforms, workflows, and systems of acquired entities to identify gaps and integration challenges.

Identity Systems Consolidation

Lead the merging of disparate identity providers and directories (Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP) into the enterprise’s core IAM ecosystem.

Consolidate access management systems across merged organizations.

User Lifecycle Management

Automate and streamline user provisioning, de-provisioning, and periodic access reviews.

Ensure seamless onboarding and off boarding during transitions and consolidations.

Solution Design & Architecture

Design, implement, and maintain IAM capabilities including:

Single Sign-On (SSO)

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Privileged Access Management (PAM)

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Application Integration

Lead integration of SaaS, on-premises, and custom applications with the enterprise IAM platform.

Ensure secure authentication, authorization, and provisioning processes.

Security & Compliance

Ensure IAM systems comply with regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and internal security policies.

Maintain auditable evidence of access activities and strengthen controls to prevent unauthorized access.

Technical Troubleshooting & Support

Diagnose and resolve IAM-related technical issues across authentication, access, and identity lifecycle workflows.

Provide expert-level support to internal teams during and after integrations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Information Security, IT Operations, HR, Application Development, and leadership teams.

Communicate complex IAM topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Documentation & Best Practices

Develop and maintain high-quality documentation: architecture diagrams, standards, configurations, and SOPs.

Stay updated with IAM trends, security regulations, and emerging technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of progressive IAM engineering experience.

Significant hands-on experience supporting M&A identity integrations.

Technical Expertise

Strong experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP.

Proficiency In Authentication And Authorization Standards

M&A-Specific Expertise

Proven experience assessing and integrating identity systems, workflows, and controls during acquisitions.

Ability to navigate complex, diverse identity infrastructures.
